Banana coconut protein smoothie

Our Banana Coconut Protein Smoothie adds some protein pep to your step while giving your tastebuds something to dance about!
While health and protein supplements might not be something you quickly associate with your inner foodie, we happen to think the two can co-exist. That’s why we publish any great recipes we come across that make out tastebuds dance. This smoothie is no exception, and one of our favorites if we have the time to mix up a treat.

The big bonus with this smoothie is that it combines some of the best ingredients for taste but also for a protein hit like no other! Most of the ingredients are packed full of protein. In addition, the banana provides a great source of energy for a workout, and the cinnamon aids with glucose delivery to muscles as well as slowing the digestive process for maximum amino acid absorption.
Place all ingredients in your favourite blender and blitz!
3/4 cup of Skim Milk or Vanilla Almond Milk (for lactose intolerant)
1/4 cup Light Coconut Milk
1 serve Vanilla Protein Powder
1/2 Frozen Banana (freeze after peeling and cutting up)
2 Dates
1/2 cup Ice
Finish with ¼ teaspoon of Cinnamon sprinkled on top!
