Promix delivers 31grams of protein with 1.5grams of fat and 7 grams of carbs in each 41.4g serve.
Grass-Fed includes a Whey Protein Isolate for its sole protein source. Organic Cocoa and Organic Coconut Sugar is used for flavor and sweetening. The only other ingredient is Sunflower Lecithin which is added for improved mixability.
The whey isolate in this product should deliver excellent results, but we were a little surprised at the digestible protein content at 74.9%. We expected this to be up over 80% for an isolate with so few other ingredients added. Those figures didn’t add up at first until we factored in the 6 grams of coconut sugar that has been added.
This is not low carb or a sugar-free product. So if you expect this product to work as a weight loss protein, you would be mistaken. This product will still do well for athletes and bodybuilders alike who burn more calories.
Taste for us was pretty good, but we did find the chocolate slightly bitter when mixed in water. In milk, we didn’t notice any bitterness. It did mix very well in both milk and water.
We should note that there has been some reported flavor inconstancy. This is not uncommon for grass-fed products which tend to vary somewhat between batches.
This grass-fed sourced isolate comes in at a pretty decent price.
Consider that grass-fed sourced products generally come at a premium and this product is a solid whey isolate form. This product is mid-priced, but this is no mid-ranged product and offers good value.
This product is a naturally sourced, high-quality, and effective product. Value is excellent for this grass-fed product and the taste was pretty good also. Our only wish would be for some digestive enzymes, but this product will still provide excellent results, as long as you don’t suffer any lactose intolerance.
