Perfect Keto Collagen is not your average powder. At just 17 grams, this is not going to replace a meal, because that’s not what this product is designed for. We take a closer look in our review on how to use this ketogenic product for effective results.
Perfect Keto has a very small serving size of 17g which delivers 58.8% protein, 20.6% fat and 11.8% carbs. The protein component is delivered by Hydrolyzed Collagen Powder which doesn’t have a complete amino acid profile but does deliver high amounts of the amino acids we are often deficient in. The fats are provided by MCT Oil which is can be made with coconut oil or palm kernel oil. The carb content is a little higher than we would like for a keto product, but are still fairly low.
The flavor is provided by Cocoa Powder. Gum Acacia is used as a thickener and to provide a creamier texture. Lastly, Stevia is used as a sweetener.
SUGGESTED USE: As a dietary supplement, mix one scoop of Keto Collagen with 8 to 10 ounces of water or your favorite beverage.
WHEN TO USE: Use Keto Collagen at any time throughout the day. Add to your smoothies, shakes and other drinks to up your connective tissue repair and health.
This product only provides a 17 gram serve and isn’t designed to be a meal replacement, but rather as a supplement to be used alongside your other keto food and beverages. While this product should help you keep in ketosis by boosting your protein and fats intake with minimal carbs, it’s marketed as a health and beauty product to improve the health of your joints, hair, skin, and nails.
We think this product could be especially effective in assisting you to keep in ketosis for weight loss when used alongside a solid keto diet. However, this product on its own should not be used as a meal replacement and cannot ensure your body remains in ketosis without being used alongside a keto diet.
We also think this product would be very effective at helping with joint pain for athletes and could be supplemented alongside another standard protein supplement.
The taste of this product in chocolate isn’t bad but wasn’t amazing. It’s more of a dark chocolate flavor and did mix surprisingly well in both water and milk.
However given that this product is something you may want to mix into any beverage or food, you may want to go for just the unflavored product or perhaps vanilla. This should make it more versatile.
Keep in mind that our formula for the protein cost indicator below is weighted to calculating the effective value of only the protein delivered. In the case of keto products, the protein content is not so important as the balance between the protein and fat, with minimal to no carbs. For this reason, most keto products score a protein cost that is very high but doesn’t accurately reflect the overall value of the product.
Perfect Keto is a different approach than we normally review. It’s not used to simply replace meals or provide all the nutrition you need for a goal, but as a supplement to use alongside a ketogenic diet. For this purpose, it works effectively to give you a boost towards your goal.
We think this product may appeal to fewer people than a keto meal replacement. The reason for this is that sticking to a keto diet is a bit of hard work, especially calculating out what you intake. We think a product which takes all the guess work out is going to be more popular.
Having said that you cant replace all meals with a supplement, so some careful food selection for meals will still be required. This is when this product comes in handy. When used correctly it should make up for some shortfalls and keep you running in ketosis. Think of this product as a booster! We recommend grabbing the unflavored product and adding it to your morning coffee or your evening beverage with dinner.
