Muscletech has been exploring new products to meet with more recent customer expectations for more natural options. Muscletech 100% Grass-Fed Whey is just one of those products providing more relevant options to consumers. We take a look at how it stacks up.
Unlike most Muscletech products, this product is light on ingredients that are mostly naturally sourced.
Muscletech 100% Grass-fed Whey Protein is made with grass-fed whey protein isolate, which is sourced from cows that are free to roam and graze on grass pastures.
The product also contains natural flavors, a gum blend for a creamy texture, and sunflower lecithin to improve mixability.
Unfortunately, they included sucralose as an artificial sweetener. We generally try to avoid sucralose where possible due to anecdotal evidence of possible health concerns with this sweetener.
1 or 2 scoops (1 or 2 servings) + 6-12 oz. cold water or skin milk.
Use between major meals and before and after exercise. Read the entire label before use and follow the directions provided.

The high-quality whey protein isolate used in Muscletech's 100% Grass-fed Whey makes it an effective protein supplement for individuals looking to build and maintain muscle mass. The grass-fed protein is rich in essential amino acids, which are necessary for muscle growth and repair.
The product also contains 20 grams of protein per serving, which is a good amount for most people. However, this makes up just 57% of the product content which is not ideal. Additionally, it contains 9 grams of carbs or 26% carb content. Certainly not a low-carb option.
The product also does not contain digestive enzymes, which would have been a nice addition to help make the product easier to digest and improve protein absorption.
I tried the Deluxe Vanilla flavor of Muscletech 100% Grass-fed Whey Protein, and while the flavor was pleasant, it tasted slightly artificial and lacked the creaminess that I would expect from a vanilla-flavored protein powder.
The texture was just slightly gritty, and it took a bit of effort to get the powder to mix completely with water. However, it did not leave any clumps, and with a bit of shaking, it mixed fairly well.
In terms of value, Muscletech 100% Grass-fed whey protein is priced higher than some of the competition, but this may be attributed to its use of premium grass-fed whey protein.
Its protein content is also reasonably low. In our opinion, this doesn't make for a great-value protein. While it does contain 20 grams of protein per serving, this accounts for only 57% of the product's weight.
Overall, while it is not the most affordable option on the market, the quality of the grass-fed whey protein content may be whats important for you.

However, while its ingredients are mostly natural, it does contain sucralose, which may not be ideal for some individuals. Its taste and texture may not be as creamy and smooth as other protein powders, but it does mix well and does not leave clumps. We think it doesn't offer the value of similar products, but if you like the flavors from Muscletech then it may still be worth a try. Otherwise, we would suggest considering alternative grass-fed products we have reviewed and compared to this product below.
