Which Protein Powder is best for weight gain?

If you are looking to achieve weight gain there is a powder for you. While many jump on the protein powder band wagon for weight loss, if you’re an athlete with a higher calorie requirement, then building lean muscle while maintaining body weight is a worthy goal. After all, your body needs energy for endurance and fat stores have a purpose….to fuel your body!

You can simply consume more food, but that can be a chore itself for elite athletes trying to gain weight. So which protein powder is best for weight gain? Thats where “Weight Gainers” come in. These powders include both fat and carbs. As a general rule of thumb, you want your unsaturated fats to be half the amount of included protein and with carbs which are double the amount of protein. Remember its still best to avoid gainers which contain too much saturated fat!
