What is the cheapest Protein Powder?
The cheapest protein powder is not always the best value for money, as the bioavailability of protein to your body is an important factor. A less effective protein may be cheaper, but will not deliver the best results and so is of lesser value.
In most cases whey concentrates offer the cheapest option over whey isolates or the highly pure hydrolysate form of whey which is quite expensive. Concentrates offer the lowest cost as they are cheap to manufacture. In most cases we would recommend a blended concentrate and isolate form to be the best value option.
Other factors to consider are fillers. Most protein powders come with an array of additives which can serve useful purposes in the product for mixability, flavouring and sweetening. However purchasing a raw, unflavoured protein powder can often be a far cheaper option.
