What are some Plant Based Protein Powders?
Most commercially available plant based protein powders include a blend of pea, rice, soy and hemp protein. By blending protein powders a more complete amino acid profile is formed which better supplies the 9 essential amino acids the human body needs. The exception to this is soy protein, which is already a complete protein source without the need for blending. However a blend of pea and rice protein powder provides a more efficient and bioavailable source to soy.
